"King's Claim to Alagunja Akataapa Sparks Controversy: Akataapa Aresaapa Royal Dynasty Sets Record Straight"

In a recent development, a long-standing historical fact has been called into question by a certain king's attempt to claim ownership of Alagunja Akataapa, a village nestled in the heart of Ogbomoso. The Aresaapa royal dynasty has come forward to clarify the true origins of the village and set the record straight.

According to historical accounts, Alagunja Akataapa was founded by Akataapa, a brave warrior from the Aresaapa royal dynasty, who courageously defended the region against Fulani invaders during the Yoruba-Fulani wars. Akataapa single-handedly took control of a strategic bush route used by the invaders and ensured the safety of the people in Ogbomoso. The village that emerged was named Alagunja Akataapa, meaning "the land where Akataapa was victorious in war."

For generations, Alagunja Akataapa has remained under the jurisdiction of the Aresaapa royal dynasty, with the village growing into a thriving community that includes travelers and settlers. However, Olokin-Apa recent claims to ownership have sparked controversy and raised eyebrows among historians and members of the Aresaapa royal family.

The Akataapa Aresaapa royal dynasty has released a statement reaffirming their historical ties to Alagunja Akataapa and emphasizing that the village has always been an integral part of their territory. "We will not stand idly by while our heritage is distorted for personal gain," said Oladimeji Lawal a spokesperson for the dynasty. "We urge the public to respect the true history of Alagunja Akataapa and recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our ancestor, Akataapa."

The controversy has sparked a renewed interest in the rich history of the region, with many calling for a thorough examination of the facts to settle the matter once and for all. As the debate continues, one thing remains clear: the legacy of Akataapa and the Aresaapa royal dynasty will not be diminished by attempts to rewrite history.

The Alapa family, who are now attempting to claim ownership of Alagunja Akataapa and its environs, have been challenged to provide historical evidence of their forefathers' contributions to the defense of Ogbomoso during the Fulani wars or any significant development in the region. Their silence on this matter speaks volumes, and their claims appear to be nothing more than a desperate attempt to rewrite history for personal gain.

Warning to organizations and individuals: beware of purchasing land from the Alapa family, as the ownership of Alagunja Akataapa is currently a matter before the Oyo State High Court (case no. HOA/46/2014). Any transactions with the Alapa family would be considered a violation of the undertaking signed on June 11, 2014, at the Iresaadu Police Divisional Headquarters, where both parties agreed to refrain from any activities on the land until the court's decision.

Any attempts to buy land from the Alapa family would be considered a contempt of court, and perpetrators will be held accountable. We urge everyone to respect the legal process and await the court's ruling on this matter. The Aresaapa royal dynasty remains committed to protecting their ancestral heritage and ensuring that justice prevails.
